INTRODUCTION

V 1.1e

We want to consider the following system.
In our case the plant is a simple system consisting of a tube, a heater (HE) inside the tube and a ventilator (VE).
As the user your task is to design a feedback controller in order to control the temperature of this system.
To design a feedback controller you have to carry out the following 5 steps:

Step based on: Menu option:
Determination: type of the plant Step response of the plant S1
Determination: parameters of the plant Step response of the plant S1
Choice: suitable controller Type and parameters of the plant S2
Determination: parameters of the controller estimation methods S2
Test S3

In order to process the individual steps of this simulation, a WWW Browser is necessary, which supports Java and JavaScript.

There are some buttons in order to control calculation, etc. In the following table these buttons are described.

Buttons and their meaning
Go to the next page/step
Go to the previous page/step
RESET All variables are set on initial values.
Save All values of the variables/parameters are saved into the global memory and are available for the following steps.
Suggestion Press this button in order to get a suggestion of values for the current parameters (only S1).
Set RS Par The parameters of the plant are set again (only S1).
