After the determination of the parameters of the controlled system (Step S1) and the choice of the gains of the controller (Step S2) the closed-loop has to be tested.
Is the determination of the parameters of the plant correct? Is our estimation of the gains good or bad?
In order to test the whole system we have to observe the response of the closed-loop (x(t)) if we change the set-point temperature (w: step or ramp input). The difference between w and x is the error of the system (e(t)) and represents the quality of the closed-loop system.
Fill out the following form (parameters of the plant, type of controller, values of the gains) and then choose the type of input signal which you want to use in the diagram (step, ramp). When you press the "TEST" button the test will be started. All internal calculations of the response of the closed-loop system are based on the assumption of an undisturbed system.
